Have rentals? we do, and like us I bet you think about wear and tear on you rental holding as well, when it comes to carpet there’s not a lot you can do but pull and replace every few it every years or between tenets, and we all know replacing a large amount of flooring eats a big chunk of the profits out of the rents collected, what to do, what to do.

Here’s what can we do about it, one major item we have been using now with really good luck in vinyl plank laminate, yes I know I said the V word, but before you click close just know this is not your mothers flooring. The relative new vinyl planking products show great promise in reducing long term flooring cost in rentals, we have use it now to replace all of the flooring in some of our rental units less the bed room’s which greatly reduced the amount of carpet needed to much smaller area, that carpet may still need to be replaced, but now is much less sq ft and according less dollars.

Now after almost two years we recently inspected the first house we installed this product in, and even with small kids and a dog, the flooring looks as good as the day we installed it, which brings up another point it’s super easy to install as like other plank products it just snaps together, but unlike other engineered plank flooring it needs no underIcon_MoneyBaglayment and it completely water and piddle proof, which makes it ideal in wet areas like the kitchen and dining rooms or with pet’s and with the highly durable commercial grade top surface just wipes clean, and retains no odors, yet another bonus, and so far all of our tenets have had nothing but great things to say about this type of flooring, so yeah it’s on the list as the standard floor on all of our rentals bot current and future.

So next time you have to pull and floor give vinyl planking a try, we are sure you will be as happy as we are about one less this to worry about in your rental properties.
